    Do you mean as in general construction or specifically for an oven build?
    As far as oven foundations go, follow everyone else's build threads here as they provide you with invaluable information and ideas.

          I still have so much filling to do I had 30 yards of dirt trucked in this week.

              Hello everyone!

              My planned WFO build at this location in my back yard has been put on hold indefinitely as my daughter decided to go ahead with plans of building a small house for herself on that piece of land. Although her house will be some distance away from the oven location I had in mind, I did not want to deal with any potential complications with building inspectors by extending my concrete patio into her "side" of the property & building the oven next to it, as the land will be legally divided.

              Meanwhile, I decided to just build a much smaller oven (due to limited space) on the front side of the house, just outside of the kitchen for now.
