Got some more work done yesterday.

Here is what my yard looks like, its a mess.

Here are the door arches that were poured the day before.

        5/8" & 1/2" rebar layed

We then sprinkled little peddles all over the slab, once we polish the concrete the pebbles should show up, hopefully they stay in place.

            All done

              Wow! V-wiz,
Don't worry about how your yard looks. It is a construction zone . I love the monolithic arches, the counters, and especially the corner build. This is going to be good!

You have been a busy boy. I made a thread showing a half a dozen polished concrete threads. Do a search for concrete counters and you will find my thread and it will give you good examples.

Re: 42" Brick Oven & Grill in Los Angeles.

Ive been pretty busy, not working on the oven, . Life is just not allowing me to work on it. Today i picked up 3 more Cal-Sil boards, i was in town by Pacific insulation and decided to pick up some more boards, since the 10 boards i had may not be enough to have a 4" floor.

On another note, can anyone help with rough dimensions for the entry floor? width x length. Thanks.

Regarding dimensions for the entry floor - if this describes the area under the chimney. Most taper the entry width to allow easily use of a door. A big decision is how deep to make it. If you make it shallow (one brick), it is easier to reach into the oven- and you have to work a bit harder to maintain a large cross section as you transition to your chimney, If you make if deeper (one and a half bricks)
http://www.fornobravo.com/forum/21/4...tml#post136130 it is easier to transition to the chimney. If you want to put a damper in your chimney, you can make the entry way into a smoke chamber like Gulf did

Small update, i just scored 300 free used/vintage bricks. They were removed from his house 25 years ago, the bricks are from 1907. These are "Simons" bricks and are stamped with that name. So far i have about 1,100-1,200 vintage red bricks. Ooh how i love these bricks.
