Hey Ken, in your roof design what did you do with the soffet area between your roof joists? I know the joists rest on the vertical wall framing but how did you attach them and close them up so birds and bees don't fly in and nest near the dome?

The roof joists are screwed into the wall joists. I fastened metal roofing material under the soffets to close everything up. There's no way to keep the bugs and bees out, I'm not too worried about them. I don't have any gaps or holes large enough for birds.
