Russell, what is that? Where do I get one? I am planning to vent the dome and fabricating a copper cover.

Anyone who beats BYU is golden with me.

Do go slow on the cure. It is really easy to go too hot, too fast. SS chimney looks good.

Also consider a vent on the apex of the dome when you start doing the stucco or vcrete or both. Dome shape looks good and uniform. Click image for larger version

Russell, thank you for the insulation, it went on great. I knew I was venturing in to Ute territory. I didn’t mean any disrespect, just a proud father of an Aggie. USU did spank BYU.

Got my vent done’ I used a piece of stainless chimney liner embedded in mortar and planning on wrapping the pipe in copper. First curing fire.

Thanks again Russell for all the info and encouragement. I really enjoyed meeting you and seeing your masterpiece.

I had a chance to meet Lee in person. Nice guy even though he is a Utah State Aggie hat wearer, this is Utah Ute country where I live.....LOL.

I encouraged him to post more pics of his build, he is currently starting vent work on his oven and eventually doing an open side roof structure.
