Well, we are nearly complete with the new WFO build... And really looking forward to learning how to cook in this new back yard appliance!
I still have two significant projects to wrap up on this oven; the stucco exterior, and a counter top. In the mean time, the curing process is in full swing.
As part of the 'curing' I will attempt a slow cook pork dish. The pulled pork dish you all were talking about caught my attention, so when I get the temperatures up a bit in the oven, I'll toss a pork shoulder in the oven with a bit of sauce and let it simmer over night...
I started this build in the middle of March '08, and have a bit over $1,100 USD invested so far.. and shouldn't need to buy much more stuff to finish the build.
