I'm in the Oakland county area, and I am in the process of building a 48" wfo. I got my fire board at GM Refractory in South Lyon. The fire brick and mortar at Glen Geary in Waterford. Best price I could find. (they also do an occasional wfo demonstration).
I am hoping to finish my dome this weekend, but you never can tell with our weather...

Hello To everyone! I'm Back!!!!!

Well I have finished our Bathroom remodel, longer than I thought as usual! I am ready to get started on my oven. I have the permits in hand and I am ready to put the shovel in the dirt. I think I'll start a new thread to show my progress as I go along. I have Miss Dig coming out on Monday to check for any underground utilities. My luck I'll put the whole neighborhood in the dark! LOL

I am going to do my best. If it doesn't work out it will have to wait till spring

I have to pour footings for the foundation 42" deep! Per city code!!! Oh well what can you do!
