It is Oven Time in Tennessee!!! Starting my first brick oven.

As you've only finished the vermicrete layer a week ago there is bound to be plenty of water in that layer still. If you cover over this with a waterproofing material (I'm assuming that is what Thoroseal is) you risk locking in the water and cracking the outer shell. Best to give the oven plenty of firing before sealing it up. Try throwing a sheet of plastic over it to see if water condenses on the underside.Kindled with zeal and fired with passion.
