  • Pizza Oven Location Too Close to House

I probably screwed up and set my foundation too close to the house not realizing the oven should be at least 10 feet away. As of now the center of the oven would be almost 6 feet from the house and 3 feet from the roof overhang. I am interested in purchasing a Cassa 100. I know I can extend the flue higher than the roof. I do have a concrete tile roof. Is there any way to continue the build in my original location or is this a bad idea?

Depends on the building code and fire regulations in your area.
Having said that, my own oven is (about) that distance from the house, but the oven opening is not facing the house, so there's no risk of fire in the direction of the house itself.
I have also taken my flue pipe to above eaves level.

Thank you Mark. My oven opening will not be facing the house either. I'll check with our local building and fire code regulations. I plan on using a double wall flue and taking it at least 2 to 3 feet above rhe roof line.
      Thank you again.
