  • Visibility Question - How Dark is it in There?

    Dumb question of the day.

Was wondering how easy it is to see whats going on in the brick oven considering the flickering fire and 20inch door. Lets say you have 6 pizzas in there with a low fire, is it easy to monitor the cooking process? DoughPro offers a light in their oven for improved visibilty. Anyone have to strain to see in there?

    thanks

its dark. i always keep a supply of 18 X 2 X 1/2 inch pine grading stakes (sold in bundles at home depot) handy. throw one on and you 've got about 10 minutes of light.

If your patio is well lit, that helps.

I have a little flashlight I can hold along with the peel when you need light for more accurate browning.

Also, Jim and Alf talked about adding a light. There is a thread on that in here somewhere.
