Firebrick Dimensions?

Hi - the plans and most comments reference "full" firebricks but what exactly are the dimensions of a "full" brick? I live in Sweden and see many different possible dimensions and want to get as close as possible to the commonly-used dimensions.

I can offer my experience with dimensions. The firebricks I purchased for my oven came from a company Whitaker Greer. Their dimensions were 8.4 x 4.2 x 2.35 inches. The 2.35 dimension varied occasionally, more or less by .020 or so. I can also suggest going to who ever you're going to purchase your bricks from and get a sample (or a few samples) to use as a benchmark.

Most of the bricks used here (not my oven, but most on the forum, by looking at the build photos) appear to be of a regular brick shape. That would mean a size of roughly 9" long x 4.5" wide x 3.5" high. (230 long x 115 wide x 85mm high) The Pompeii oven kit uses, according to the documentation, 9"x4.5"x2.5" bricks. (230x115x65mm) Most people use a half brick for their dome, meaning that the dome thickness is about 4.5" (115mm).
