Hello dear friends.
It has been a while and I hope life is treating you well.
I have bought a new property and I wanted to install a fireplace in the living room.
I have seen designes of fireplaces that insulate the walls and use fans to drift hot air from around the chimney. However, I find that a lot of waste of heat.
Consequently, I am thinking of exploiting the massive mass of the bricks to make a masonry heater that favors a mild thermal mass so that a single firing could give heat the next day or two..
Any one with experience in the concept of masonry heaters?
Your suggestins and help are appreciated.
Regards, V12spirit.
"Why is this thus? What is the reason for this thusness?"
I forgot who said that.
