    and from the back

I'm hoping in the near future to build an oven and be able to match the stone.

There are a lot of very nice elements in your kitchen that I like. The different sizes of the slate floor tiles adds a nice texture, and the way you cut in different color and the 45º angles really works for me. The two height bar looks good, and I am guessing it gets put to good use. The slab and rough edge surfaces are functional, easy to clean and look good. Excellent.

Are the stainless doors stock? Where did you get those? Nice.

Next step -- your wood oven!

Thanks, we do use it a ton (just had lunch out there today)
The doors are stainless, we bought at the same place we bought the grill, They actually may be made by Viking, but I actually can't remember if they are branded or generic.
We are finishing up a pool that backs up to the kitchen... then the oven.

A truly wonderful feature for your garden. My compliments.
It makes me even more keen to get my daughters wedding behind me and then get into my patio renovation/rebuild as it is getting rather tired after 30 years. I need to convince the wife that we need an outdoor kitchen for the oven and entertaining area, especially as we feed the growing and extended family every sunday night.

It goes beyond saying that everyone needs to be onboard. I started talking about an outdoor kitchen a couple of years ago, not until it really became "her" idea did it take off, but having said that her version is much nicer than mine.

Very nice. I love the stone - both on your vertical surface and the floor.

Whats the substructure of the cabinets? Cinderblock?

Im designing my Outdoor Kitchen now and Im taking in all I can.

Yes the structure is all cinderblocks which were then faced with the stone

Did you design the layout yourself or did you have someone do it for you?

I have a 20 amp electrical circuit, water and coax run out to a hole in the backyard, but its not exactly where it needs to be. So, I need to make sure those 3 objects come up thru the slab in just the right spot.

                  Re: Our outdoor kitchen

We hired a very experienced Mason after interviewing multiple garden and patio companies who where all over the map with pricing and materials. The Mason sat down with us and we came up with the basic design. A few changes during the build (sink moved from the corner to the side type things) but he pretty much built it single handedly with a little help from his son in law and we pitched in a bit. We paid for materials and equipment rental and then he billed us for labor. (we threw in the beer for free)

Planning on starting the oven this spring, will probably depend on when one of my brother can come down and help out.

I wish I was your neighbor! I would help you with the pizza oven.

Very nice work. And a very relaxing looking backyard you have there.
