We have 6 between the two of us. Three boys (well, more like men now..) and three girls- ranging between 23 and 17. My oldest turned 21 last week! Still not ready for grandchildren.

Update, 2009

I am really impressed with the insulating ability of the Perlite insulation layer I used. Almost no heat transfer...a day after the fire was started there is only abut a 10 degree rise in the thermocouple at the oven slab/hearth interface.

Now for some slow roasting!

But I do need to get a door...the temporary chipboard is like charcoal now!

Turned out to be a great slow roasting oven...heat for 3 days

...my son in law does ribs, just sprays them with Pineapple juice and slow cook them all day!
