    What a shame to see a beautiful example of our short history obliterated.

    That is so sad. I sure hope somebody buys it -- though I can't quite imagine moving it.

    We should buy it as a group and donate it to a charity....

      James,
      wait until it runs out of time. At that price not looking at the relocation costs, they should almost pay you to remove it.
      Having said that, they will simply smash it up with the remainder of the building, and dump it in land fill.
      Anybody in NY looking for second hand fire bricks?

        what was this? when I clicked the link to E-bay it crashes my IE. Was it an old brick oven..anyone save pics of it????

          It got no bids at 3000 usd.

It was built in 1924. It is inside a building so it has never been weathered. the building will be torn down on July 26, 07. Costs of removing oven is on the buyer. So arrangements would have to be made prior to pick-up. A crane will likely be needed to facilitate removal.
