  • Curved Cuts in bricks

    Hello

I am about to start building my dome on the weekend and cant quite work out how people of this forum get so nicely curved cuts in their floor bricks.

    can anyone offer suggestions?

It's easy to nibble away the edges of the brick with a tile saw, especially for outside radius cuts. The bricks are fairly soft.

I second deejayoh's reply. Also, you only need about three cuts to get a pretty round looking edge.

cut off in angles smaller and smaller as you get round and rounder trust me they always look better in pictures you will never see the edge anyways get them close and move on better places on the build to ponder over like the angles on the dome bricks

I wondered the same thing and just decided to make straight cuts anyway, splitting the diff between the front and back edges.

Pretty hard to tell they're straight cuts from the photos, and you'll never see them in the finished product anyway.
