    What is the best solution to fixing the chicken mesh to the dome
    having problem in working out the best way to lay fire blanket and fixing the chicken mesh any ideas fellas much appreciate it

      I embed some thin wire loops into the inner dome as it is built. If you make them the appropriate length they can also act as depth gauges so you know exactly how thick to make your vermicrete layer. I tie a short piece of brightly coloured wool on to the end of each one so that you can see where they are, otherwise they get really hard to find.

        The CF blanket is easy enough, it grips the dome ok on its own. The mesh I attached either side of the entry with a screw driven into the vermicrete at the edge of the dome. Only attached it in those two spots. It needs to be stable but no need for it to be stretched as tight as a barbed wire fence. It is only there to give the vermicrete or render something to grab a hold of and to provide some reinforcement for that.

        It sounds like you are getting to the interesting part, and the tasty part. Good luck with the job.
