    You did such a superb job on the arch, and a great compliment with the colored slate for the entry.

          Nice work. Once the rocks are in place, you'll have a showpiece that cooks. Not bad at all.

            How often will you need to seal the slate? Does it require any special ongoing maintenance?

              Christo,

              You probably only need to seal it once, but that depends on abrasion and the appearance you're after. If there's lots of abrasion, as on an oven landing, perhaps once every year or two. If you prefer a shiny finish, as opposed to matte, once a year.
