  • Applying Stucco –Cold weather and possible rain

My goal is to apply a two base coats of Scratch and Brown Stucco on Friday and a finishing coat of stucco (Sakrete Stucco) on Saturday. I used chicken wire around the 3 inches of Foam Insulation from Forno Bravo. Any tips on laying the stucco is appreciated.

Weather Friday will be about 50F when I apply the Stucco with 76% Humidity (Sunny). Saturday is expected to be High 57F with a low of 39F and 66% Humidity (Sunny). Sunday will be High 60F and low 40F with 60% chance of rain and 66% Humidity.

I forgot to mention that I have a canopy over the oven so will not get rained on. Thanks again.

Sounds like good stucco-ing weather to me. Not too hot. Stucco likes to be wet while it cures, IIRC. Lots of good videos on this on YouTube. That was my best source for "how to"
