Supporting bricks around chimney

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to support the bricks around my clay flue liner. The oven was built from plans which state only allow chimneys to sit on the oven core - nothing else. They don't give any other details. How do you guys do it? The enclosure will be brick around steel studs and cement board.

I dropped steel through the brick cores but it looks like you are using solids? For what it may be worth I have a few pic's at the end of my media link

Les, your work is fantastic! I broke down and bought 8" ID SS venting, cap and attachment plate. Darn expensive but it is finished. Not as nice as a brick chase but it will be okay.
