Brick Floor Question

Hi,

So I'll be doing a cast dome. Was wondering if there's any reason this would be a bad idea. Instead of buying a saw for just the floor bricks, simply make it larger than the dome and make sure it's covered up by the insulation layer. Very technical drawing below.

If you cast your dome on top of the floor it is easy to cut off any bricks that extend beyond the dome, A 5” angle grinder with a diamond blade will suffice and you don’t need to be particularly accurate as they’ll be covered up with the insulation layers.
