Looking around for insulating blanket and ran across this on eBay
    FIBERFRAX-DURABLANKET-S-HP-HIGH-TEMP-INSULATION

Would this be suitable for the oven builder, and at a decent price?

    They've listed the description wrong. I think it's 50 sq/ft instead of the stated 400 sq/ft.
    Nonetheless, you're getting a roll that's 24" wide by 25 feet long.

I saw that - don't know what that means?? Maybe some function of the density times cu.ft. or something?? It's actually printed on the package label - 1.5x24x25x400.

Anyhow, it looks like it's 1.5 inches thick, 8#/cu.ft., 24" wide and 25 feet long. Enough to cover my oven X2 (3" insulation should be a good start).
