I am going to build a WFO! 
With our house, we also received fire brick, regular brick and slate(?) flagstone. Obviously I can use the fire brick in the oven, but what about the regular brick and the slate? At least I think it is slate. If I use the slate for the roof of the oven will it be dangerous/explode? Maybe it is not ideal from a cooking standpoint, but that is ok because I intend to test it out and see.
