Re: Required density of fiberboard insulation

Sorry to bring this thread back to life, but i dont think this question was answered. What would be the minimum density required for the insulation boards. Would 15 LB density be enough to support the ovens? Thanks.

Wow, then that's hot! Way too hot to cook anything.
How long did it take to get that hot?

That's way more than you need.

Thanks for the tip Al! I am obviously still trying to learn to use this site to its full potential.

I really love the idea of lights as well but I don't know if I am smart enough to put anything in without killing myself. Here are two different ideas for lights that I have seen and I like them both. The first one is from Christo and the second one is from bigred. I hope this helps.

Can you post a link? This is a great idea! I haven't have even thought about this. I wonder if a permanent mounted light fashioned from flexible conduit or something similar would work. Something that could be moved out of the way when not in needed, maybe.
Yes, this is the idea - but darn if I can remember whose thread it's in. It was at least 18 months ago (if I remember) when I saw it. I'll try to search some for it and hopefully come up with something.

I haven't seen that on anyone's build. I'll have to do a search.
