  • Mixing different bricks in one dome. OK?

    Hi all:

    There are some firebricks for sale locally around here on Craigslist. Probably not enough for an entire dome, but I could save some money. Is it OK to get these, and mix with others bought elsewhere that might have different aluminate compositions? I'm sure the person selling these doesn't know the exact composition. Presumably I would not mix different sizes.

    Also, what are the different sizes that people have used successfully?
