Are these fire bricks?

Hello, I recently got some bricks for free from a home owner who was getting rid of them. The home owner said they were fire bricks but I'm not convinced. I'm hoping someone here will know the answer. Here is a link to some photos of the bricks: Pls tell me if these are firebricks - Album on Imgur

They look quite old, and had been outside for quite some time.

No, by any of the standards that I have ever seen for firebrick. Even if they are, you don't want them with holes. That is a modern invention for face brick. You want your firebrick to be a heatbank. The holes will subtract from that.
