Hi all,
I'm new to this and about to start on my first wood fired oven. I'm looking at the Pompeii High Vault 42 inch. It is primarily for bread baking and I'm looking for a little advice on where in the uk is the best value for purchasing fire brick etc..... so far Victas look good:
- ?2 per brick (230x114x64mm) with an Alumina content minimum 40%.
The more you buy the cheaper it gets with 150 brick at ?1.60 per brick.
- ?30 for 20kg fire mortar
- Screed is same price as above
- fire blanket insulation and board is good value.
I'm just looking to keep this cost as low as i can to be able to finish the project as quickly as possible.
