I am able to source the above locally for approx $22 sq/ft (2" thick) minimum size 24" X 36". Can anyone confirm this is the same stuff that people are calling ceramic fiberboard here?
From the data sheet....
Common Name: RCF, ceramic fiber, Alumino Silicate Wool (ASW), synthetic vitreous fiber (SVF), manmade vitreous fiber (MMVF), man-made mineral fiber (MMMF), high temperature insulation wool (HTIW).
So this should be the correct stuff and would be safe for under the firebrick cooking surface?
Thx!
