  • Where to find lite-fill perlite?

I'm looking for lite-fill perlite to mix with cement for under my floor as well as to make my dome.
Anyone know where to find this in the US?
I found some places overseas, but they're telling me they can only ship 200kg's of it, which is WAY too much for me.

Lite-fill perlite is the stuff treated so it doesn't absorb any water, which is what I'd like to use.

    Thanks ahead of time.

Any concrete block (CMUs) supplier will carry perlite. It is used to insulate the cores on CMU buildings. It is cheap, I bought 4 cu ft bags for about $10 each. Typically a p-crete mixture is a insulating layer not a structural layer. A high density refractory cement is the structural component of the dome. I suggest you do searches on this forum for your questions. This topic comes up quite a bit.

I wasn't asking where to find regular perlite, I was asking where to find lite-fill perlite. Regular perlite absorbs moisture, lite-fill perlite does not.

Then ask for silicon coated perlite at the CMU supplier.
