  • Looking for Bricks in southern Ohio

I am about an hour north of Cincinnati, and I am having a terrible time trying to find medium duty bricks. I found a place about 30 minutes from my house that has low duty, but having a hard time finding medium. I'm not in a big hurry, so I'm hoping I can get good quality for not too much money. I have access to a big truck, so anywhere within a couple hours of me would be perfect.

The other two not so much, one is in New England, the other looks like a Chinese company with a deceptive looking website.
      Thanks though.

Harbison Walker in Cincinnati has firebrick in stock I bought several hundred Clippers there in Feb. $2.65 or so, a bit over the market, but good brick. They had at least 3000 brick in the warehouse and will sell to anyone with a CC. Also check with the nearest Belden Brick dealer as they have started producing Firebrick and I have found them to be priced at about $2.00 which is pretty decent. Finally if all else fails check the pottery supply resources near you, they almost always can order firebrick or stock them.
The cost of living continues to skyrocket, and yet it remains a popular choice.

Thanks, I will check those out.
I also was referred to Sandkuhl Clay Works by Alsey Smithfield, looks like I can get a half pallet from them, which will be about right. I haven't called them for a price yet.

Ok, after some phone calls and emails, I found my source.
In case anyone is looking for this in the future:

            http://www.ironclaymasonry.com
            (513) 829-0484.
            80 Donald Drive
            Fairfield, Ohio, 45014

Currently $1.38 a brick for medium duty Whitacre Greer, and this is only an hour drive for me.
