Hi, My name is Mario and I live in South Africa
I am currently building myself a WFO and would like to ask the following question.
Can I use refractory cement for the oven floor rather than fire bricks.
I got the composition of the refractory cement vs the fire bricks and the difference is Na2o/K20 chemicals.
After reading up I found that the mentioned chemicals is a stability chemical to ensure that the bricks don't warp.
So my question is, can I use refractory cement for the floor and what are the pros and cons? Floor thickness approximately 40mm.
My oven inside diameter is 750mm with a wall thickness of about 50mm.
I have the ceramic blanket and floor board which I will place below the refractory floor..
Kind Regards
Mario
