My bricks are bit rough, bits of sand come off when rubbed by hand. Someone on Facebook said they don’t look like firebricks and that got me worried- I bought them from a reputable supplier in Perth. Can anyone with an experienced eye have a look and tell me what I got? Thanks

Had a re-read of the supplier’s description and they didn’t say firebricks, they describe them as ‘pizza oven bricks’, sold at a cheaper price than the firebricks they also stock. I suppose it’s a clay brick.... -
They look like clay pavers to me. Could be ok, maybe not, can’t tell, worth a shot.Kindled with zeal and fired with passion.Comment
