  • Fire bricks Spec

    hi all,
I found those Muddox fire bricks at my local masonry shop:
    Alumina: 27.1%
    Silica: 62.9%
    Density: 2.073 g/cm^3 (roughly 129.4 pounds/cubic foot)

    Am I good to go?
Just for my information, are those considered as Low or Medium duty?

    thanks,
    Serge

      Re: Fire bricks Spec

The Muddox bricks are good. I used them for the oven.
I have been using the oven for about 6 months and no issue so far.

High duty is 45%>, these are low to medium duty as per the alumina content. They are high in Silica content so I hope you used a mask when cutting.
Great for the use in ovens.
