We are in the installation process for a Casa100 and are about to pour our hearth. I have two questions. First, is there any advantage to setting the FB board in the concrete after pouring, i.e. before it is fully cured. Does the board adhere somewhat to the concrete? I understand that you don't want to set it in the wet concrete, but after it has set a bit. Second, regarding the cooking floor. The instructions for the Casa100 say to mortar the cooking floor pieces together using the Refmix type mortar. I notice the instructions for the new Casa2 series ovens have you just setting the cooking floor tiles in fine sand. Why the difference? Is the new system better, or are the floor tiles different in some way?
