Re: Calculate Amount of Refractory Cement Required

The volume of a sphere is 4/3 x 3.142 x r x r x r You then need to know the density of the material you are using. The supplier should be able to quote you this. Make an adjustment of 10% because the volume reduces slightly when you add water to the dry material.

Calculate Amount of Refractory Cement Required

    Hi All

Some time back, I remember someone giving a formula or online calculator that will give you the exact amount of refractory cement needed for a particular task. Now Murphy's law, when I need it, I cant find it.

Maybe someone knows the link or a formula to do calculate it. Below is the volume I wish to cover with the refractory cement.

Currently, the volume I need to cover with refractory cement is 0.015cu.m. I prefer to know the amount of refractory cement required in KG's as that is how it is purchased where I am.

    Thanks
    Regards
    OM
