Can FB Insulation Board Get Wet?

Hello All

I am trying to finish my Casa 2G oven and the weather is not cooperating. It has been raining on and off for about two weeks. Last night I noticed that the FB insulation under my cooking tiles was wet and soft. Is this going to dry out and regain its firmness?
Also, I am trying to figure out how to weather proof the gap between the vent landing and the oven landing. It seems that water could just run right down the face and get to the FB insulation. I have attached a photo showing the face of the oven and the area that I am concerned with.
