Does anyone know how close my rebar can come to the top of the slab before causing problems? Obviously sdticking out is an issue, but if I have cover age of 1/2" in one area is that a problem?

hey mate,
I dont know for sure if it is a problem, but in my slab, i had it in the middle and it was about two inches either side of the rebar.
If the rest of the bar is deeper in the concrete and the weight is evenly spread I can't imagine one spot causing an issue...
but don't take that as gospel! -
