Hello All,
One step closer to completion now. The clay tile chimney is installed and I've placed brick around it to within a few inches of the top. Should I use Portland mortar to fill the transition to repel water or is there a preferred method and material to put there? It seems like every brick chimney I've seen has cracks and gaps at this "brick to tile" area. I'd just like to do it right before moving on to the next task.
I'd appreciate your advice.
