igloo or enclosure

I would like to start my oven build but trying to come up with a good plan. Iwant to have a oven along with a fireplace with a sort prep area between them but don't want the oven to be to big and take away from the fireplace should I go with the igloo design and do they perform the same as an oven with a brick enclosure ?

Both ways will perform about the same with adequate insulation. Going the enclosure route makes it easier to make it water tight. It also gives you more options for the finished look. The down side (if it is considered one) is that they are bigger.

Thanks will probably go with enclosure route since I have no experience with stucco and sealing it

You get a lot of rain there so I think the enclosure would be a better idea.
