Vent arch construction

The brick arch that will cover my vent landing is 13.5 inches deep (long).

Are there any concerns with construction requiring a span of more than one brick length? Should the joints be staggered the length of the arch as well as between the brick pieces?

Do I build the interior arch first, let set and then complete the exterior section?

I'm also incorporating an 8" round metal vent in the top of arch.

No problem, just stagger the joints. It will be easier to build the inner then the outer, as a rule.
