  • stucco thickness for smallest possible stand

Hi. I'm planning my stand size and want it to be as small as possible for a 36" oven. I'm going to make a stucco igloo. Can anyone fill in any of these question marks for me?

    width:
    oven exterior: 45"
insulation: 6" (3" on each side)
stucco: ? (the book adds 8" for enclosure walls which I am not going to do)
    total: ?

    depth:
    oven exterior: 45"
    insulation: 6"
stucco in the back: ? (presumably half of the width of the stucco)
    vent landing: 6"
oven landing; ? (book says 12" but what is the smallest practical landing.)

I have a granite counter that I am going to use somewhere beside the stand, so I might not need a full 12" oven landing.

    Many thanks in advance.

If you are starved for space you don't need any oven landing, but if you have a decorative archthe thickness of that needs to be included.
A 1" stucco thickness done in two layers is plenty.

Really? That helps a lot. Thanks so much. Anyone second that notion of a 1 inch thick stucco covering?

Because I was trying to save weight I went as thin as 10mm for the outer shell on my mobile oven. Add some chicken wire or reinforcing fibres to the layer for strength.
