  • Setting The Fire Brick Floor

I am beginning to lay my fire brick floor. I have made the paste of equal parts of fire clay and sand, but the brick remains loose after two days of curing. Is this to be a hard adhesive or just a soft bed for leveling the bricks?

Just leveling. You want the floor to float and not be tied to the bottom surface whether it be CaSi board, VCrete, PCrete or whatever you floor insulation is under the brick floor.

You should start a single thread for your build, rather than individual threads for each question. That's the easiest way to get advice as people will be subscribed and respond quickly
