Can foundation be flush with block stand?

Hello everyone. I am planning on applying stucco to my block stand to finish and dry laying flagstone around the foundation. I would like to lay the flagstone right up to the walls so I was wondering if it's ok to have the foundations the exact dimensions of the block stand instead of a few inches wider and longer. Reason is, I don't need the extra reveal for brick veneer since I am stuccoing. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks very much!
