dome finish

what tool has ppl used to finish the top of the dome im trying to find a way to finish mine i have used curved fire bricks but when i butt two together the joint is in a triangle do i have to cut the brick down to get the nice joint

Have a look for Hendo's Twist and tilt thread in the Tips and techniques section. There is a very full explanation of how to cut the angles to get a nice joint.

I am not sure how to do a link to it for you. If you search using Twist and tilt you should find it.
