  • Oven floor insulation

I purchased the casa 2g and the insulation shipped that fits under the floor surface tile is wet and no good. Can I replace this with. The 2" pink foam board or does it need a layer of hardy backer on top of it as a barrier. The whole unit is to be set on top of a 4" poured concrete slab.

    Hello Laszlo01

When you say 2" Pink foam board are you referring to the stuff you can get at a Big Box store. If you are I think that the floor tile will melt it as soon as you get up to Pizza temperatures.
Hardy backer will not provide enough of a barrier. You should find a source of Ceramic Fiber Board or pour a layer of Vermiculate/Cement to insulate the floor tile from the concrete slab.

Given time the supplied insulation will dry out. So unless it has crumbled or is damaged in some other way just let it dry out.

If it's ruined contact forno bravo and have them replace it. Do not use foamboard. Temperature is too high for foam.
