  • How much concrete for hearth pour?

I am about to pour my hearth (42" oven). The materials list indicates I need 30 80# bags of concrete. As I don't want to be short, can anyone verify the bags of concrete I will need?

    Thank you

    Michael

How about some quick dimensions of your hearth form?

    Edit: Here is Quikretes calculator.

The calculator indicates 20 80# bags. That sounds better.

        Thank you

I do 4'' as I like to have 2'' on either side of the rebar
