Shape of Oven - Oven Design

Hello, Can the back of the dome pizza oven be flat, or does it have to be domed shaped? Thanks so much!

I would suggest you read the section in the FB Pompeii plans regarding how the oven shape dictates the temperatures at various points in the oven. If you do not have these plans, they are cheap, I believe 2-3 bucks for an e-down load from Forno Bravo. The plans are a great baseline, but a little dated, for planning and building a pizza oven.
