Hi this is my first post so apologies if this in the wrong section, I have just acquired an IBC tank like this:
to act as the rainwater collection tank for a garden room. its approx. 1.2mx1.2mx1m and has a steel cage that is capable of having 2 others stacked on top so should be able to take 2 metric tonnes of loading.
My plan is to use the tank (clad in wood) as the plinth for an oven.
My question is: to protect the tank from the oven heat what sort of insulation/plinth thickness should I be thinking of? the plastic is apparently rated to 100C but i'd like to keep it as low as possible (so as not to waste heat anyway).
All thoughts welcome!
