Moldit D for dome refractory

Hey all,

I’m currently planing a build and was told to use Moldit D by the refractory engineer. Has anyone here ever used this as a dome material before? Are there any pitfalls I should be aware of?

I would PM David S, he is our casting expert on the Forum. I know he says you need dense casting material not insulating casting material as well as suggests SS needles in the casting mix. You can also review his post, which cover a lot of the questions you may have.
