Home brew mix

Hi yall,

please can someone point me to a good home brew mix. I’m planning on building a cast oven. So the stuff to slap on the sand.
Ideally a mix for stuff in the uk.

Al, the home-brewed mix I used is 3:1:1:1. Three parts cement or sharp sand, 1 part portland cement, one part lime and one part clay. I also added the plastic fibers that melt along with stainless 3/4" pins for added strength.

Cheers for that - do I need to add those fibres?
if so don’t suppose you know where I can get them
I have looked but I’m struggling.

You can do a search for polypropylene fibers, but any concrete supply company will have them, even the Big "A" UK shows them. Do a search on the Forum for the purpose of these or look at David S thread, he talks about the.
