Plastic in sealed aluminum door

I'm hoping to have a high-school student weld me an insulated aluminum door for my oven, at his school. The 2" insulation board that will be sealed in aluminum presents an inhalation hazard, so I'm thinking of sealing the insulation in plastic before I have him place it inside the door and weld it all shut. Obviously the plastic film will melt in there as soon as I use the door. Do you see any problems with that plan? Stupid question, but it wouldn't build up pressure in there and explode or anything, would it? Is there any other way to protect the welder from handling the insulation, besides use of a mask? I don't want to risk anyone's health at a high school, obviously.

The plastic will melt and produce toxic fumes. Wrap the insulation in al foil instead.
